Primary Division: The Primary Division of Ballet SJ School is an open-enrollment ballet program, offering one class a week for students ages 3-11 years old. Classes in the Primary Division are open to all students in the appropriate age range with no audition required. Primary Division classes promote creativity and discipline while encouraging each child to reach their highest potential. Pre-Professional Division: A pre-professional ballet training program for students ages 8 and older, classes in the Pre-Professional Division provide the ideal amount of training for students at every stage of development, as determined by the latest and most comprehensive studies of professional ballet training, dancer health, and child development. Class size is limited. Enrollment in the Pre-Professional Division of Ballet San Jose School is by audition only. Juniors: Classes in the Junior Division will focus on building a solid foundation in ballet technique with an emphasis on proper placement and safe progressions of movement while remaining sensitive to the developmental needs of younger dancers. Seniors: Intended for students who strive for the level of excellence required for a career in professional ballet, classes in the Senior Division will provide focused study in an elite atmosphere dedicated to the success of each student. The Senior Pre-Professional Class Schedule and Tuition Rates document contains information about the Trainee Program. Open Adult Classes: September 4, 2012 through May 24, 2013: Ballet classes suitable students ages teen to adult are available on a drop-in basis on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:00PM, Tuesday mornings from 10:00-11:00AM and Saturday afternoons from 12:00-1:30PM. All classes will be taught by Mr. Mads Eriksen. Wednesday’s class will be suitable for beginners, and all other classes will be at an Intermediate or Advanced level, adapted to suit those who attend. No audition is required. As a new student your first class will be free, otherwise classes are $15 a class or $130 for ten classes.
